Ada kamera 2MP, bisa wifi juga” Dan temen saya bakul hape itu bilang. “Wah yang tipe ini, paling kalau full ya paling tinggi dua belas, kalau batang ya 600 lebih, dibawah satu” Trus saya lanjut tanya. “Lha kalo Nokia 6600 batangan ponakan saya ini berapa? Lebih murah ya pastinya? Wong sudah udzur banget gini”. Dan temen saya sang tukang hape pun bilang “Casingnya masih ORI ni, 600 saya mau” Saya: “!@#$%^&*”
Contoh pengalaman saya tadi membuktikan kalau di negara ini, perilaku konsumen bisa dibilang cukup aneh. Bukaan, bukan salah temen saya yang bakul hape itu. Toh dia juga cuma nurut sama harga pasar saja. Merk Nokia, di Indonesia sangat kuat di hati konsumen. Sehingga bisa berharga tinggi sampai second second nya.
Tampaknya perilaku konsumen kita bisa dibilang ndak umum. Seperti pada contoh pengalaman saya tadi, ndak peduli spesifikasi, kemampuan suatu barang atau kehandalannya, kalo bukan brand tenar ya hancur. Sebaliknya, bagaimanapun kondisinya asalkan itu dari brand tenar, banyak dipake orang akan menjadi mahal harganya.
Selain di hape, masih banyak juga contoh lainnya. Temen saya pernah ngumpat ngumpat karena laptop Acer nya dihargai lebih mahal daripada laptop HP-Compaq nya, dengan spesifikasi bagusan HP-Compaq nya. Alasan sang pedagang: Acer lebih banyak dicari.
Jadi, vonis gampangnya, konsumen Indonesia ternyata lebih mementingkan merk daripada kegunaan. Kenapa? Umm… Merk terkenal khan naikin gengsi…
